A very personal service provided by Kay, the owner of this apartment. Good advice on provided for both the complex itself and the area generally, both before departure and from the comprehensive information folder at the apartment This is a very spacious, well equipped and peaceful second floor apartment overlooking the pool and with sea views. Just 10 minutes from the resort town of Estepona and with a beach just 5 minutes walk away, this is well located just outside the smaller resort of Puerto de la Duquesa. Whist there is a bus service passing the complex, a car is really needed to get to the beaches at Puerto de la Duquesa, Sabanillas and Estepona. Also, the nearest shop is a 5 minute drive. The apartment is on a small complex. It has nice gardens and a pool, underground parking and a lift. This is a high quality apartment on an exclusive complex with plenty of room for 4 people, a balcony both front and rear and well equipped kitchen. It’s a pity that (whilst there is a beach bar and one other restaurant in walking distance), the actual resort is outside walking distance. However, with the short distance comes relative peace and quiet. Mike, Cheshire

We had a great holiday here. The apartment was really well equipped and very much cared for by the owner. Our children had a great time in the pool, and on the beach which is just over the road. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding area, which is very Spanish. There aren't many restaurants in the immediate area, but taxis are easy to get, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants within a 5 minute drive. Highlights for us: Tarifa (the old town is fab), the waterpark (went twice!), the marina and beach bar at Duquesa. Only potential downside (but not for us) is that you really do need a hire car. Kay, the owner, manages everything personally and is really well organised, has very high standards, and goes out of her way to ensure that everything runs smoothly. We stayed at El Oasis for a week at the end of July. We had a wonderful time. The apartment was fabulous and was absolutely spotless! I was amazed at the cleanliness of all the kitchen appliances, they all appeared brand new. Everything in the apartment was of the highest standard including the best of saucepans, glasses, cutlery etc. and being Irish the top quality teapot didn't go unnoticed either!! The location was excellent. We visited Tarifa, Gibraltar, Estepona, Soto Grande and not forgetting Duquesa which we went to every night with its beautiful marina and great variety of cheap and cheerful restaurants. Two days of our stay we were just happy to chill out and relax by the apartment. Well what else can I say except thank you to Kay who owns the apartment. Having spoken to her before my trip everything she said was true and more. If you are looking for a relaxing self catering holiday and you like the finer things in life then El Oasis is the place for you. I would highly recommend this apartment! Colette, Ireland

What a great place! Not too far away from everything, but far enough for a peaceful retreat after a long day. Both of the apartments we had are fully equipped for everything – BBQ’s, drinks, cooking a roast dinner; and such a luxury to have top class knives! We had fab weather and visited just a few of the places close by - the new water park in Algazeries, Gibraltar and the harbour in Duquesa. The “Cubanga Beach Bar” is a must – just to the left of Duquesa Marina. They serve fresh fish of the day, and gorgeous paella, and lots of cocktails!! The food there is really good quality. Overall all 12 of us have had a great time. Thank you Kay for your fast response to all of my emails – you are really so organised & helpful. Hello Kay, A bit late, but I just wanted to write to let you know what a wonderful two week holiday we had in August. The view from the balcony is stunning and the apartment was immaculately presented and very well equipped.

The local beach (a few minutes walk away) is lovely and a favorite with the boys as there are always wonderful stones and shells to be found in abundance. The local beach bar is good value for money and very traditionally Spanish. A couple of evenings we took a cooked chickens home with us from the beach bar to have with some salad for supper. Delicious!

Having the benefit of a constant sea breeze was wonderful. This was highlighted when we moved to our 2nd location towards the end of our holiday. The other apartment that we stayed in was in land and because there was no sea breeze it was noticeably hotter and uncomfortable.

We had a great time at your place and did quite a lot of sight seeing. We went to Gibraltar and did the tour or the rock again. The boys loved it, especially having their pictures taken with a monkey on their shoulders! The duty free shopping is not to be missed either!

We drove to Tarifa twice which is about a 50 minute drive away from the apartments. The beach is beautiful, and very unspoilt & watching the kite surfers and ferries to Africa is amazing and so relaxing . White soft sand and the kites are spectacular.

There is a new Waterpark in Algeciras which we also went to twice (thanks for the discount vouchers). Needless to say the boys loved it. It's a very well organised place and you can hire beds/parasols for the whole day. Plenty of facilities but we took a picnic with us.

The Sunday market in Estepona is well worth a visit and it's good to look at all of the boats on the marina. Sabillinas has a lovely beach with numerous beach bars and restaurants. There is also a very large play area on the promenade.

I would certainly recommend your apartments & the frist class service to anyone. We will definitely be back at El Oasis for a third time next year as having the breeze is lovely!!

A very big thank you to Bob & Suzanne who are just so helpful. They were waiting for us at the apartment with a warm welcome when we arrived – no hanging around or chasing round estate agents for keys!! Jane & family, Dorridge

Hi Kay! We had a great time in your fabulous apartment! We really liked it, the view!! fantastic. We went to some nice places Duquesa, Sabinillas Mijas, Marbella, Porto Banus and Gibraltar! That was a real bonus for us, just like visiting two countries on the same holiday! We really liked Sabinillas and the food at the El Estribo and the Rilax restaurants on the beach front? After the Costa del Sol we went to Sevilla, which we really loved. We had a hotel booked in the old town and took the car through the narrow streets or should I say labyrinth... Well we found it and on the way we could touch the houses on both sides while driving! Madrid however was not as nice as we had hoped for. Noisy and too much traffic! Thank you! Hi Kay!
Back in Sweden - back in work again!
I just want to tell you that we had wonderful days in Spain!
The apartments were fantastic nice and very comfortable! We could never find anything better!
The terasse was big and nice and every morning we had breakfast together at the terasse. The pool was also perfect.We spent a lot of time in the pool and on the beach.We had some nice lunches at the beach bar and it all looked the same as it did 13 years ago.  The weather could not be better - sunny and warm every day!
We also went by car on some smaller trips, for example Gibraltar, Casares, Ronda, and in the evenings we went to different restaurants in the surrounding area. We had great days! 
I want to thank you SO MUCH for letting us rent your apartments. I walked to the other beach you recommended - it was very nice!
It would have been very nice to meet you! Maybe another time. We really want to come back another year - so maybe we may contact you again in that case? 
We also met Bob and Suzanne  and they were very nice and helpful.

Many thanks for hosting us in your apartment - it was excellent. The apartment is really like home, the views from the terrace are fantastic. It was excellent to stay there late at night and enjoy a glass of wine while the kids were sleeping! (comparing with some hotel holidays when at least one of us was "punished" to stay and guard them in a small room...). For us it was a pleasure to take care of everything in the apartment, and I really was impressed with the kitchen, it was exactly like at home (next time when I come to UK I'll try to find a grill like yours - it was excellent). We left some detergent (for dish and laundry machines) and some other supplies we bought- future guests might find it useful... It was excellent to have the swimming pool so close, and with direct access. It was also incredible to have access to such a nice quiet beach, less than 5 minutes for us.. Many thanks again, and please don't mind if I'll call you again when we will want to come back (or when friends of us will ask about some wonderful holiday apartments). Thank you so much for some wonderful days in your lovely Apartment No. 1.  We had 14 days there; the 27th of February until the 13th of March 2007. Only one day with some showers, the rest with sun!  Sitting on the terrace looking at the sea could be a “habit” for us; even coming from Denmark surrounded with water, I could never get enough of that stunning view.

We went down there, mainly to play golf, and there sure are some totally lovely golf courses in the area, but some days we just “had to” stay in the apartment, because we just loved to be there.  We're looking forward to be back soon, and have even thought of moving down there permanently some day.  Thanks again, not least for all your fantastic help and support.

We've been here a week, but not long enough - what a fantastic apartment - we will never forget waking up to the amazing views of the sea.. The Wireless Internet is excellent - sitting on the terrace checking emails beats the office any day!!

We went to Rhonda on Tuesday, well worth a visit - it has the oldest Bull Ring in Spain. Caseres in the hills excellent, but wear flat shoes or trainers!! Spent New Year in Seville - an amazing place, and worth a visit - the open top bus tour and trip down the river are a must!!

Thanks for letting us use this superb apartment and for all your recommendations & tips for a stress free holiday. All the restaurants were brilliant - food excellent and the most helpful staff you could ever - wish to come across. We hope to come back soon. Mary, Mal & girls.

This is an absolutely fantastic apartment.   The people who met us were a great help settling us in and gave us an imaginary guided tour of the area…  and I have to mention, they were like a shot (within 5 minutes) when Jade became ill. 

The weather was mixed, but it was October, nevertheless we made the most of the pool and loungers when we could. Everyone we met was very friendly even though we do not speak Spanish.

We had a trip to Gibraltar for a great shopping trip – but unfortunately or fortunately the shops were closed (Sunday) – I did manage to buy some Channel Sunglasses though! We visited the superb beaches, the one over the road which was a true picture of Spanish family life. The beach at Torreguardiaro, close by, was also really Spanish – we were embarrassed by our lack of ability to speak the language. Many thanks to everyone for their effortless help. We had a great time.   The apartments are lovely and the area will be so much improved once the building works have finished in the area.   The breeze was refreshing and a relief from the very hot temperatures in July.We visited Bolognia Beach, Costa de Luz – just past Tarifa – gorgeous golden sands and clear water – you can look around the Roman Ruins while you are there.

We visited Rhonda which was fabulous and worthy of a visit, as was the Alhambra in Granada – both a good couple of hours drive, but well worth the visit – get up early..Gibraltar was strange, but worth a visit.  Duty Free very cheap!   Changing  of the Guards on a Saturday  morning.  Don’t go on the Dolphin Safari – rubbish and expensive.

On Thursday we woke up to torrential rain and strong winds, but even that didn't spoil our holiday, as we spent the day at Parque La Canada, which we'd never have experienced had the sun continued to shine.

Hello Kay,

Thanks for a lovely stay here in these beautiful apartments - they are both fantastic, with such stunning views. We have been here one week and have really enjoyed it, especially watching the boats on the ocean.

Monday we travelled to Gibraltar, and took the guided tour that you recommended, up to see the monkeys & other historical sights in the "Rock of Gibraltar" (the children liked that a lot!). Tuesday we went to the beach (near the “Hut on the Hill”) where the children could enjoy the little natural pool. Wednesday it was a little rain so we went shopping in Estepona and to the little white village Casares – Fascinating! Thursday the day started cloudy, so we decided to go to Marbella, but first we stopped in Puerto Banus and then the sun came! We went to the marina and admired all the big boats & yatchs, and fancy cars. After that we drove to Marbella and visited Orange Square - Charming! Friday we had another day on the beach. Today we have been here in the garden by the lovely pool and have done some more shopping!

Most of all we have enjoyed the wonderful local beaches and your terraces for many good meals. The great thing is, there's so much to do even if you get days without sunhine

Thanks for organising everything so well for us, and thanks again for a lovely holiday!

Fabulous apartment with everything centred for all our requirements. Kept clean and fresh at all times. Help from Lin & Vic was always available when needed – service with a smile above and beyond call of duty.

The beach bar (left as you are looking from the terrace) is wonderful – the owners friendly and kind. Gibraltar is a must! Take bus to centre from border, and take the taxi tour (Kay has recommend an excellent taxi guide – see the folder). The caves are wondrous, the monkeys are beautiful and the scenery stunning.

All in all a wonderful holiday was had by all. Thanks for organising everything we required, including the airport pick-ups.  A hassle free holiday is a joy and this one was certainly hassle free! It is of no doubt we will be back. Best regards, Hayden, Pat & Jan

Letter from Carolina Silva. First of all thank you very much to let us stay in your so comfortable apartment. All bedrooms are so well decorated, and the master bedroom has an amazing view to the sea.

Your place is very well located and close to most of the tourist places around Andalucia. We visited so many places in one week – more than we had expected.

Gibraltar is only a few minutes from your apartment and the experience of being there was incredible. As you well recommended we visited Casares - a fairytale village high among mountains - it was a breathtaking experience!.

Also, a must place to visit for shopping is Marbella which is around 20 minutes driving from the apartment. We visited Cadiz too (only an hour and a half driving) It’s almost entirely surrounded by water and where Columbus sailed from on his second and fourth voyages to discover the “New World”. We also went to the sprawling Islamic palace “Alhambra “on a hill overlooking Granada, amazing place to visit! I will definitely recommend the apartment to everyone. Carolina

Summer is an interesting time to visit Spain and I would suggest future holidaymakers look out for the various fiestas that abound in the area. We enjoyed visits to Torremolinos, Marbella, Estepona Sunday market and then the beach, and especially Sabinillas. The restaurants and shops are a real adventure. Duquesa is a lovely place in the evening, just a 5 minute taxi ride away.

As I sit back at home I remember opening the curtains in the morning and looking out across the patio towards the sun rising over the tranquil sea or sitting out at night watching the sun set with a large glass of wine. Can't wait for next time!

The journey from Jerez airport "over the mountains" was very easy and quick- about an hour and 10 minutes- but we should've turned off the main road at an earlier junction, so could be even quicker- mainly dual carriageway- would certainly recommend it!

We very much enjoyed our time in your apartment. The views from the patio are just stunning. I enjoyed many hours quietly reading, observing the blue sea, and watching the boats go up and down the coast. Vic and Lyn were most helpful as were your information folders.

Gibraltar was a particular hit with us. We visited Gibraltar twice because we were so impressed with it. A very interesting place full of history and interesting walks. (Australians, of course, read novels where Gibraltar is often mentioned, but it is normally hopelessly far away.) Only 20 minutes easy drive from your apartment - very nice!

Hello Kay

As you know we booked at very short notice – thank you so much for your flexibility to get on the case and efficiently communicate every detail of information to assist us.

We had a fantastic time, the highlight being a day out to Gibraltar – this was most interesting, but as ever not enough time see everything!! The tour of the Rock you mentioned was excellent, and worth every penny.

Fortunately the weather was excellent, brilliant blue skies, which is amazing for January, so we were unable to take full advantage of the first class facilities offered with the apartment, in particular the kitchen. The idea of 2 keys is great, especially when everyone doesn't arrive back together.

It was such a pleasure to be able to just walk over the road to the local Spanish bar for a drink or two at very inexpensive prices, sample the local sea food, and listen to the waves washing on the shore. We also had a very enjoyable meal at the Moroccan restaurant over the road (can't remember the name!!), and a couple of nights in Duquesa where it was hard to choose which restaurant to go to.

We're back home now in the freezing cold, and looking forward to returning. Thank you again.

The location is exactly what we were looking for, within walking distance to the beach (and bar), central to the whole area, easy to get to and handy for more golf courses than we could get to. The apartment is wonderful, everything anyone could wish for – excellent décor and beds to die for. As you will recall, I particularly asked you about the beds in the additional comments section (due to the problems I have with my back) – they are everything your website advertises… Our trip to Estepona market on Sunday morning was heavy on the purse, but came back with plenty of shopping bags & enjoyed the sun and a nice lunch on the harbour side.

What a wonderful beach bar, just 2 minutes over the road with brilliant home cooked food, and "cheap Spanish prices", traditional local atmosphere with views to die for. Can't believe we were sitting on the beach in November… We'll definitely be back.    Mary Jenkins
