We have included the above 2 car hire companies as we have used them ourselves and have no hesitation in recommending them.
There are however countless other car hire companies that operate from Malaga Airport, therefore we suggest that if you do not want to use our recommendations then you just carry out a search on the internet using "Car Hire + Malaga, Spain" or similar.
Gibraltar Airport
After landing, you go from the flight hall / terminal building outside to the main street, simply turn right, and walk for about 40 m to the customs / border post. The car hire companies wait near to the taxi stand.

Again, if you wish to search for your own car hire deal from Gibraltar / La Linea, one tip would be to make sure that the company do in fact offer the facility to meet you with the car on the Spanish side of the border, i.e. in La Linea – otherwise you will find yourself negotiating having to bring a car that is hired in Gibraltar over the border into Spain. Whilst we do not believe this is difficult, it may involve waiting in a long queue.
