Malaga

Malaga is the second largest city in Andalusia, and for the majority of tourists treated only as the gateway to the Costa del Sol, that means they miss out on all the splendours Malaga has to offer. There is a spectacular harbour, overlooked by a park and the Castle of Alcazaba. This typical Spanish city has plenty of stylish and fabulous shops for you to browse.

Malaga's cathedral, constructed from limestone, is one of the most prominent buildings in the city, and worth a visit. In the old part of town there are tiny streets filled with bars and restaurants, leading to the market area. The food market, with its array of fresh vegetables, flowers and seafood is worth a look, and makes some good photos.

Not to be missed is the Picasso Museum – Malaga was the birthplace of the famous artist Pablo Picasso.
